Samuel Adam's Latitude 48 IPA by The Boston Beer Company

Latitude 48 IPA is brewed with a carefully selected blend of hops from top English, German, and American plantations near the 48th latitude also known as the "hop belt" of the northern region. When you breathe in the aroma of the brew you get a some what intense smell of hops with a little bit of malt. Its head is similar to most beers it falls flat shortly after pouring. It has a hop packed flavor with a little sweetness, from the malt, to it with a slight stout after taste.
Overall if you don't like a stout beer pass on it but if you want a rich flavorful beer give Latitude 48 a try.

Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout by North Coast Brewing Company

Old Rasputin is brewed in the same traditional way as English brewers of 18th century who supplied the Russian court of Catherine the Great. When you first breathe in its aroma you get a strong smell of malt and hops. Its color is a very dark brown almost black beer. Its head holds together pretty nicely instead of going down like most cheap beers. When you first take drink of this brew your taste buds are hit with a rich and flavorful beer. You can taste the malt and hops every time you drink it. It has a some what strong stout after taste but it mixes well the whole experience. My only regret is not drinking this beer from a stein instead of a glass.
Overall if you don't like a stout beer skip this one but if you like a taste adventure i'd give this one a try.

Banana Bread Beer by Wells &Young's Brewing Company

Banana Bread Beer is a malt beer brewed with bananas. They add banana flavoring as well to the brew. I have to say I was taken back by the flavor of the beer. I thought it was going to taste like horse crap with a hint of banana. When you first poor the beer in to a glass you notice off the bat that the color is the same as a banana about to be used in making banana bread. When you breathe in the aroma of the beer you can smell bananas and a little bit of flowery smell (hops). Your first taste will be surprising. You taste bananas, malt and a very slight peppery taste. There is a slight stout aftertaste but it's not enough to ruin the experience. If Elvis was still around I think this would be his beer of choice. If I find a peanut butter beer maybe I'll mix them together to get an Elvis inspired flavor.

Overall the beer is unique in its own right. I've never had a beer that was banana flavored. It's well worth the buy to taste something very different. If I find more of its kind I'll make its own section.
